After drawing this [link] some people commented that they couldn't imagine Austria in a football jersey or doing sport. So I had to find out for sure :D
TAKE YOUR GLASSES OFF! No one plays football with glasses on!
It doesn't really suit him but it could be worse I think. Love the Austrian jersey though, so patriotic! I mean it has eagles on it. lots of them.

Switzerland at the top is (more or less) wearing Roger Federer's outfit, which may explain why he looks so angry at the moment :XD:
The one to the right if just fluff.

And yeah, Switzerland's president told Germany's president that Switzerland wasn't Germany's little sister (he's female in German) last week :D So random.
Germany was probably like 'Uhm....what?'.

Austria doesn't need the glasses, he just wears them because he feels "ordinary" without them (of course, that is pure Austria XD)

Well, the French say the same about us -__-

Well at least France is right about the big sister thing insofar that France is way older than Switzerland. But Germany was founded in 1871, so Switzerland would be his big sister.

But ageed, they should stop talking! XD

Awwww, Federer, but we still love you ;3; Especially when you're doing dorky things like having a laugh attack with Nadal.

And random fluff is good and encouraged *thumbs up*

And I don't know what Switzerland is complaining about. Austria's eyes are completely focused on the ba--- oh wait, sigular, nevermind.
/shot

IMEAN that pose came out awesome, and Austria looks good in sportswear, against all expectiations (lies, I think he always looks good). Though I can imagine that he'd get tired after kicking into that ball. Condition, what is that.

I don't ship real life people but Federer and Nadal are so gay together...0o At least in that particular video :D

:XD:

He's probably gonna miss the ball anyway.
Or get tired and fall asleep on the field, as you said. Or both.
Anyway, Switzerland will be pissed.

I don't ship real people either, but they're making it REALLY hard. They're so adorkable, and then they hug and rub their faces together and aaaaah why so cute

He's totally going to miss the ball. Then he'll fall on his back and stay lying there, sulking and demanding for a piano to be brought because he has many feelings he needs to express right now. And Switzerland will be pissed, but that's hardly anything new so nobody will notice anyway. =D

Even if Austria fails at football, he looks good in the NT jersey. And I love how the pose turned out, good work on that!

And I approve of Switzerland in that outfit. Though after seeing that, it reminded me of a random interwiew I saw recently on TV with Federer and Nadal joking and laughing. I just imagined Switzerland and Spain in the same situation and it was so, so hilarious XDDDD.

And if you come up with an idea, I encourage you to draw it! It'd be great! I see Switzerland all trying REALLY hard not to laugh because he's a serious man and everything, but failing miserably in the end. Sort of. Or maybe is there someone off the camera, who's responsible for making them laugh? IDK.

Countries usually aren't plural. I can only think of a few examples which are, like the Philippines and the United States. But 99% are genderless and singular.

Lol, Hidekaz wanted to make Vash a woman, then Ludwig would be fall in love with she everytime she weard her dress, really weird now when the character is already a man XD This comment make some sense in that way.

Oh, und Fussball/Rodi ist toll, da könnte man ja beinahe schon Hoffnung für das österreichische Nationalteam entwickeln wenn man das sieht... aber besser nicht, schon allein aus Selbstschutz ^^;

Besser nicht, das tut am Ende nur weh. Besser nichts erwarten! ;__;

Your Switzerland & Austria is awesome ^^! My sympathy with Federer, he tried really hard! I've never seen Austria' football uniform before (probably because they haven't appeared in Euro or WC for a long while). I think there's at least one player wearing glasses - David (the Dutch and AC Milan team if I remember correctly), his glasses looked so much more stylish than Austria's, but still ;).

Haha, what triggered such comment from your president? Your hatred for Germany ;)? So what Germany is to Switzerland then, an annoying (distant) cousin who likes to boss others around perhaps ^^?

Sorry, I forgot. Probably because I was too fascinated by Spain to care about anything else ^^;;.

Well, now thinking about it, 2008 was their debut in the Euro (and that's because they automatically qualified as co-host), they've not played very well recently, and not very memorable (like the Swiss, who won against Spain). Maybe that's why I forgot them. No offend to the Austrians, of course.

Trying hard is not enough ;__;
At least he beat Söderling, he's a jerk (don't hit me Swedes XD).

Ah okay, thanks for the information! I never saw a guy wearing glasses but that's because I rarely watch football.

I seriously don't know. I think she just didn't want Germany to look down on Switzerland because he's so small and, compared to Germany, irrelevant. I don't see a real reason for that though since Switzerland is way better off than Germany (at least economically wise).
Since Germany was founded in 1871 and Switzerland in 1291 (according to legend, not real life), I think it's Switzerland who would be the big brother XD Even the birthday of modern day Switzerland in 1848 makes im older than Germany.

Haha, yeah, totally pay back for the French Open.

Yes, comparing a big, influential country with a small, very rich one is ridiculous, if you ask me, their positions are completely different. But it's interesting, like in the Hetalia fandom, Germany is one of the youngest countries, and often being teased/looked down on by other (much older and experienced) European nations. But now I imagine Switzerland said something to Germany along the line of "I'm not your younger sister/brother, I'm your uncle/father/grandfather" ^^.

Serves him right! XD

:XD:
Yeah comparing them doesn't make much sense.It's just that many Germans coming to live in Switzerland imagine it to be like Germany, only smaller and cuter. When they have to realize that it isn't, they are often shocked/angry/disappointed.
Now there are even integration courses for Germans as well as posters which tell them to adapt XD I'm not sure what to make of that but I think the president was thinking of that when she said that Switzerland wasn't related to Germany in this way.

Most of the time he's probably just laying somewhere on the ground and falling or stumbling over the ball (like the real life players XD).
Seriously, I watched a match Switzerland against Austria some weeks ago and it was almost painful.

Incidentally today is the day that the Faroes, a complete newcomer compiled of amateurs basically (fishermen mostly, furniture salesmen...), kicked Austria's ass big time in 1990. They were pretty much wiped off the field (poor Roddy). I kind off imagine Hetalia's Denmark cheering for his kid ^^

Well, at least you made him look good :worship:
