APH: Some historical bromances by Cadaska APH: Some historical bromances by Cadaska
The first sentence is subjective but they're the most famous at least.

Some people demanded more historical bromances. Germany/Ludwig didn’t exist back then but using Prussia wouldn’t have made any sense (Schiller was from the south-west).

Schiller probably did not mean Goethe when he wrote about fat writers but Goethe assumed he did and sulked.

Goethe looks silly in my anime style. But it worked surprisingly well for Schiller. Probably because he totally looked like some anime bishonen in real life  (extremely tall, slender, long curly blonde hair, blue eyes…)…
Young Goethe:…
Not so young Goethe :…

I’m so glad people shipped Goethe and Schiller characters in the 18th century. I always felt weird in German classes for shipping Elizabeth I./Mary Stuart like crazy (the characters, not the real people!).

Interessant. Damals schien man viel toleranter gegenüber Schwulen zu sein.:)

Nothing is better than bromance! The first one that comes to mind when I think of Historical bromance is between Pierre Trudeau and Fidel Castro. They were considered 'Intellectual Soul Mates' and loved each other's company. Richard Nixon didn't like Pierre at all and called him an 'Asshole' (And among other things) and Pierre just responded with 'I've been called much worse by much better people'. XD
Sounds dreamy :XD:

:XD:

Fanfictions im 18. Jahrhundert klingt interessant :D
As far as I remember: Goethe was the perfect diplomat. When the French army broke into his house, he let them drink is wine cellar dry. This way they at least respected him and kept his house intact. (And destroyed others instead. ;) )

I love the way you put it all here. :D
Thank you!

Yeah there are many different versions of the event. Personally I like the one where his girl-friend had to save him from the Frenchmen :XD: His mother wrote him a letter thanking God for saving Goethe from being killed by the soldiers, so it must have been a  dangerous situation (or his mom was being overly dramatic....).
